Objective

Create a mental health awareness video that speaks directly to mob with warmth and clarity, normalises reaching out early, and points people toward local Aboriginal Health Services across South Australia.

Problems

Sensitive topic, zero room for “corporate speak”. The message needed to feel genuine, supportive, and culturally safe, without sounding scripted or clinical.

Multiple locations, consistent visual language. The concept required varied environments (nature, city, indoors) while keeping framing and tone cohesive.

Tight production window across two shoot days. We had to capture talent pieces to camera, interviews, and supporting b-roll efficiently across scheduled locations.

Process

Across two shoot days, we captured pieces to camera and interviews, then layered in “healthy wellbeing behaviour” b-roll (walking, moving, connecting) to support the voiceover message and keep the pacing warm and human.

Outcomes

A culturally grounded awareness video designed to feel like a genuine check-in, reminding people they are not alone and encouraging them to reach out to Aboriginal Health Services for support.
