By engaging the services of Stepney Studios, you agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions.
Payment Terms:
Our payment terms are 50% upfront, and 50% upon final delivery of all content. Upon accepting a quote, the first 50% payment will be due before any work begins. Please see the bottom of the invoice for the 50% deposit amount to pay before project kick-off.
Project Credit Validity
If the customer makes payment for a project and then delays or postpones the project, the amount paid will be held as a credit towards that project. Credits are valid for six (6) months from the date of the original invoice. After this period, any unused credit will lapse, and we will not be required to provide services or issue a refund for the lapsed amount.
Pricing on Resumed Projects
If a project recommences within the six (6) month credit validity period, it will be subject to our current rates and pricing at the time the project is rescheduled. Any quotes or estimates previously provided may not be honoured beyond their stated validity, and additional costs may apply.
Cancellation Fees:
If the Customer has engaged Stepney Studios to provide Services on a specified date, the Customer may notify Stepney Studios in writing (during normal business hours) that the Customer does not require the Services to be provided on that date (“the cancellation”).
If notification of the cancellation is provided outside of normal business hours, it is deemed to have been provided at the commencement of the following business day.
If the cancellation is made more than 48 hours prior to the day on which Stepney Studios has been engaged to provide the Services, the Customer must reimburse Stepney Studios for any expenses incurred by Stepney Studios in preparation for provision of the Services.
If the cancellation is made between 48 and 24 hours prior to the day on which Stepney Studios has been engaged to provide the Services, the Customer must pay 50% of the Agreed Fee.
If the cancellation is made within 24 hours of the time at which Stepney Studios has been engaged to provide the Services, the Customer must pay the Agreed Fee in full.
Force Majeure:
If Stepney Studios cannot carry out an obligation either in whole or in part because of anything outside its reasonable control, including without limitation, fire, flood, storm, earthquake, explosion, accident, road or rail closures, rail derailment, wharf delays, war, terrorism, sabotage, epidemic, quarantine restriction, labour dispute or shortage, act or omission of any third person or public authority, then Stepney Studios obligations will be suspended for the duration of the event or waived to the extent applicable.
Receiving Quotes:
All pricing information listed on a quote is strictly confidential. Stepney Studios Pty Ltd reserves the right to amend and review its prices as it deems fit. Prices are not to be shared under any circumstance and without prior written authority from Stepney Studios Pty Ltd. Stepney Studios Pty Ltd reserves all property rights.
Subject to Our Discretion:
Stepney Studios reserves the right to exercise discretion in varying the above terms and conditions for technical, regulatory, legal, health, business, or other reasons as deemed necessary.
Agreement:
By clicking accept on any quote provided and/or giving written confirmation of the quote acceptance via email, text, or otherwise, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to be bound by Stepney Studios’ terms and conditions.
Media Storage & Backups:
Once engaged on a project with Stepney Studios, all media will be securely stored on our servers to the best of our abilities for 24-months post-completion. Past this date, the original media will be deleted from our server.
Should you wish to retain a copy of all raw media from a project, including footage, audio, graphics, vfx or voiceover (for example), please reach out to us during the above 24-month period to discuss the supply of this media, at your cost.
IP & Usage:
Unless otherwise agreed you will retain intellectual property rights in the work that we create for you for the purposes in which they are supplied. Intellectual property rights will transfer to you only on completion of the project and payment of the agreed amount. Stepney Studios will have the right to use the works for self promotion or promotional purposes, unless otherwise agreed.
Analytics Disclosure
We use analytics tools such as Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website. These tools collect information such as page interactions, session data, device and browser details, and referral sources to help us improve website performance, user experience, and marketing effectiveness. Data may be collected using cookies and similar technologies.
